West Ham 1 Manchester City 1

Michail Antonio's spectacular goal helped West Ham United earn a point against a Manchester City side that have had one of their worst starts to a season so far.

Antonio opened the scoring at the scoring at the London stadium after 18 minutes with a superb overhead from kick  from Vladimir Coufal's cross that took the City defense totally unawares.

Hammers goalkeepr Lukasz Fabianski was not troubled much even with Pep Guardiola's men dominating possession for much of the first-half as the game they went into the interval 0-1.

Phil Foden sent in ahead of a not-fully-fit Kevin de Bruyne to replace an ineffective Sergio Aguero at half-time made an impact in the 68th minute as he made space inside the box, swivelled around to unleash a low left-footed drive past Fabianski to draw level for City.

Following the Foden goal, the hosts struggled under some relentless City pressure. To make matters worse for them Antonio had to limp off and be replaced by Andriy Yarmolenko.

Guardiola introduced De Bruyne in the 68th minute in a bid to break down a resolute West Ham defence. But despite some awkward moments towards the end, David Moyes' men held firm much to the frustration of Guardiola and City.

Having lost their two opening Premier league fixtures, the Hammers have taken 8 points from their past four outings a productive spell that includes wins over Leicester City and Wolves.

City having just 2 wins to show from their 5 Premier League outings this season look quite far off from breaking into the first half anytime soon what with a trip to Liverpool coming up next week.
